daily routine (UPDATED with pictures)
Nisarga was starving for a routine, said that his body does really well with one. Since we live together, I have adapted myself around him although my body is not asking for a routine at all. So what’s the routine?
Well… since you asked. We sleep with the curtains open and there are these amazing birds that start singing such sweet and long
and complex lullabies at 530, when dawn dawns... this is our alarm clock of sorts. Around 630 Nisarga gets up and warms up a glass of water, drinking it and massaging his stomach… his wake up message to his body. Then he goes into the bathroom, lights a candle, and gives himself a full body sesame oil rub down. His dry skin I’m sure is so happy during this time.
Then he does his nasal cleansings, which are part of yogic kriyas (internal cleansings). At first he was resistant to the cleansing with thread but after vipassana he accepted the challenge and now he’s hooked. The first stage of cleansing involves pouring warm salted water into one nostril and letting the wat
er come out of the other. Then reversing nostrils. The second stage involves putting a rubber thread into one nostril and pulling it out of the mouth, in a way “flossing” everything in between. Then repeating the process through the other nostril. Both stages are intended to flush out mucous from the nasal and throat passages. This is helpful especially for our meditations. During this time I remain in bed and give myself reiki.
At about 715 he goes outside and down the hill, and does Osho’s active meditation “Dynamic” for an hour. This consists of 10 minutes of fast and caotic breathing, 10 minutes of emotional catharsis, 10 minutes of jumping up and down with arms raised yelling “who” every time you land and exhale, 15 minutes of standing still with arms raised in silence and self observation, and 15 minutes of celebration of everything that has come out and of the new day (there is music accompanying every stage to mark the time and help with the appropriate energy). During this time I do my nasal cleansings and have a warm herbal drink afterwards and wheatgrass. Now comes my favourite part.
After Dynamic Nisarga comes home, takes off all his clothes, and sits naked on the balcony, has breakfast, including wheatgrass food supplement drink, and gives himself reiki. He (we really) has Pedro and Pillar to thank for this. Because ever since we went to
I get ready and we negotiate where to go for lunch. Nisarga says he is at a time in his life right now when he is really enjoying 3 meals per day. I on the other hand do really well with one huge meal per day, lunch, and maybe a small snack in the afternoon if it’s cold or it’s been a physically active day. So we eat and talk and then he goes on to his reiki classes and I go to the internet or shopping for supplies or some thing like that. He has been going for a course on reiki, 2 hours per day, since the 1st of October. Today is the last day since today we have to leave for Osho Nisarga for another workshop. He has really gotten very into the reiki, and is now officially a masters level practitioner.
The sun sets around
Now we return to Osho-Nisarga for a 3 week intensive Gurdjieff workshop. I stress the word intensive in every way! We get one day off per week, during which we may go to the internet café in the village. We finish on the 29th, get on the bus on the 30th, and arrive back in

a precious human life
Think when you wake up,
Today I am fortunate,
To have woken up.

I am alive,
I have precious human life,
I am not going to waste it.

I am going to use ,
All my energies to develop myself,
To expand my heart out to others,
To achieve enlightenment for ,
The benefit of all beings.

I am going to have ,
Kind thoughts toward others.
I am not going to get angry,
Or think badly about others
As much as I can...
